Employee Grouping

It would be useful to group employees by function or department so that there will be an easy method of searching for training information by group. When creating a training it would also allow you to select a group of employees instead of selecting them individually. Likewise when assigning approval to Documents, you could do that by group instead.

Currently I have to go into EVERY employee and load the training requirements 1 by 1 which is time consuming (if I have 50 training topics and 200 employees that could mean up to 10,000 manual entries of training requirements) . It would be awesome if you could create the job descriptions that would include the training requirements and the timelines, so you would only need to enter that information once.

As an example: I will use a “Mixer” as a job description/position

    Mixer

o GMP Training Due on hire date

o HACCP Training Due within 7 days of hire date

o CCP Monitoring Training Due within 7 days of hire date

This way every time I have someone with the position of “Mixer” it would automatically know what training is needed based on the position vs. based on each individual employees profile.

Employee grouping would be universally beneficial in other modules as well. For instance, when you configure a program you could choose an employee group as being responsible as opposed to a single individual.

I agree this is needed. My work arround this is to create an employee called for instance "Cleaning Crew" and then put this "employee" on the trining schedule. Then when I do the trining I upload a scanned trining log  with the list and signatures of all the actual employees.

This would be very helpful for industries that are heavily focused on labour. We have 300 employees who undergo vigorous training over the year.

We are currently experiencing high growth and as the business expands this would help us immensely  for record keeping for our employees and department heads.  We currently have about 150 employees and this would make life so much easier for us if this were to be available.
