Responsbility Reassignment

Currently if an employee resigns, retires, is out sickĀ or simply on holidays, it requires a request to customer support to have this persons open actions and program responsibilities assigned to another person.

It would be great to be able to do to this in the software and to select what actions and responsibilities should be reassigned and to whom. In the case of temporary reassignment due to holiday/sick leave then there would need to be a feature to "roll back" these reassignments when the person returns.

This would also be useful when you simply want to reassign duties in the event of a person changing department or moving up in the company.

    Better yet, have the responsibilities tied to a position associated with a job description and then move employees in and out of the position. You'd never ever have to change responsibilities!

    this is utterly important for approval of documents. If our lab manager leaves I would have to change an insane amount of documents. Better just associate documents with a position and you'll be fine.

    Would this not also be tied to the Employee Grouping Idea as well?

    n other words, if you assign a program, verification...anything at all really, either allow the option to assign it to a position or job title, or to a specific individual for those areas with higher retention rates. The titles are effectively groups of employees are they not?
